Pilates, ballet, strength training, and cardio are all tied together with bungees at ChaiseFitness, which offers classes in the Financial District and on the Upper East Side located in the historic 92Y. Classes at this chic studio use a signature fitness chair and overhead bungees to add resistance to workouts and hit all muscle groups. Low impact to accommodate all fitness levels and body concerns, ChaiseFitness classes help create lean muscles, increased flexibility, and better posture with each session.

Why We Love It: As long time Pilates fans, we always love a unique variation on the method. The variety of Pilates and ballet variation classes offered at CHAISE helps prevent fitness plateau, and lets you work on cardio, strength, balance, and flexibility all in one class.

Why It's So Effective: Aerobics, Pilates, and ballet are all challenging on their own, and with bungees added to the equation they are taken to the next level of sweat! Bungee and band resistance in CHAISE classes increase toning, core strength, extension, and calorie burn.

Know Before You Go: All students new to either the studio or a chair class must arrive 15 minutes early for an equipment overview. Any student arriving more than 5 minutes late to class will not be allowed into class. Sneakers required for all classes except ChaisePedal, which requires SPD and Look Delta cleats (available for rent).

For the Financial District location specifically, ID card is required to check into building; please allow extra time for building security.
