At Brooklyn Strength Cobble HiIl every class is rooted in the anatomical awareness of Pilates. The fundamental Pilates principles; flexibility, spinal mobility, postural awareness, shoulder, hip, knee and core stability are taught in every class. Small class size means participants receive personalized attention. Our Pilates philosophy emphasizes whole-body strengthening, and the value of linking breath and mindfulness to movement. This centered approach increases muscle tone, flexibility, range-of-movement, prevents and manages pain, assists in prevention and recovery from injury, produces a leaner, trimmer, more sculpted body and quiet focused mind.
SPRINGBOARD PILATES - A straight Pilates class utilizing the full capabilities of the Springboard equipment including standing, prone, supine and dynamic routines. Participants will learn Pilates fundamentals as they advance to more and more challenging sequences. Participants leave feeling strong, long and aligned.
SPRINGBOARD ATHLETICS - Designed to coach participants into the next level of functional fitness. Body-weight training, and cardio intervals are set within a straight Pilates class framework to develop coordination, burn calories and build deep strength while maintaining core Pilates principles for ultimate safety and growth as a long-term athlete free of injury and limitation.
STRENGTH & CONTROLOGY - Unique to BKS, this class builds on a strong anatomical Pilates foundation and features core-focused strengthening, Kettlebell, bodyweight exercises and cardio intervals. This class will get your heart rate up while burning calories and building lean muscle strength. Proper form and a Pilates based, joint mobility warm-up and cool-down are part of every class. You will learn how to execute exercises correctly, as well as develop your body awareness. You will be able to build your fitness safely, tone without bulk and get the results you want.
