Class Overview

Joseph Pilates believed that physical and mental health were closely linked, and he designed the Mat Pilates practice as a way to unify the mind, body, and spirit. In this class, we'll work on the mat using your own body weight as resistance, and Wendy will offer modifications and challenges to help you get the most out of your workout. Props like resistance bands, small balls, and foam rollers may be used to enhance certain exercises and deepen your practice.We'll focus on proper form and alignment, inspired by Joe's original teachings, to prevent injuries and improve your strength, flexibility, and overall body awareness. You see improvements in your reformer practice after taking mat. It's a fun and effective way to improve your fitness and overall well-being!
