Class Overview

Ashtanga Primary Series, also called "Yoga Chikitsa" (meaning yoga therapy) is a set series of postures that are the foundation for a strong yoga practice. This sequence  builds strength and stamina, helps to purify the body, calm the mind and increase flexibility.    This is an all levels class but some previous yoga practice is recommended.  This class flows with a breath to movement rhythm and moves at a quick pace. Primary series includes many vinyasas and forward bends.    Please bring your own mat as we have very few to loan. We have bolsters, blankets and straps in the studio for you to borrow. If you prefer to use your own props, you are welcome to bring them from home.
