Class Overview

Join us for Pickup Basketball in a well-organized and clean environment! Space is limited to 15 players and and games are to 11 by 1's and 2's.  The British School is located at 814 W Eastman St, Chicago, IL 60642. Street parking is available but may be difficult to find. A parking garage around the corner is also available.   IMPORTANT: You must have a photo ID to enter this facility. If you forget your ID, you may be turned away at the front door. Plan to arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled start time so we can get games going on time. Once inside, take the elevator to the gym on the 4th floor.  Be sure to officially lock in your spot with payment here as space is limited to guarantee plenty of playing time. Sign up by yourself or with friends. The Grab A Game host will check players in, form teams, and make sure everything is organized and fun. All you have to do is show up ready to play! Cancelation PolicyDue to the popularity of this event, spots fill up quickly and often several days in advance. To prevent players from holding a spot and backing out on the day of the game, all of our weekend basketball games at this location require a 12-hour or more cancelation to receive a credit back on your account. Any registrations canceled less than 12 hours before game time will be considered a late cancel and will not receive a credit. No refunds. Pricing$15 per person$65 for 5-pack of sessions$35 for a golden ticket (1-week of unlimited play with Grab A Game) First time players will have the option to purchase two sessions for $25 when checking out. What to Expect:The game will begin at the time listed for this event. Please be ready to start on time and stay until the end.Please be mindful of the other groups playing. The event host will set up the court, provide a game ball, and make sure the area is wiped down before and after each game. Level of Play:We generally attract intermediate level players. We make teams on site and do our best to make them even. There are no referees, so players need to play with sportsmanship and make their own calls. Minimum Number of Players and Playing Formats:This event needs a minimum of 8 people (not including the host) signed up before the start of the event in order to run. While highly unlikely, we will play with a minimum of 4 players per team. An email notification will be sent 2 hours in advance if we need to cancel. Credits will be issued if we cancel the event. If you need to cancel less than 12 hours before the game time, please do so through the Grab A Game app and email us at grabagame@chicagosocial.com to request special consideration for a credit. Requirement to play:This is an adult basketball group and player must be 18 or older. Males and females are welcome to play. There is no required gender ratio.
