Class Overview

Interested in playing pickleball, but not sure where to start? This Learn to Play Pickleball session at Big City Pickle - Fulton Market is the perfect introduction to the rules, how to keep score, and some time practicing/ dinking. This one-hour session is led by an experienced pickleball player-instructor. By the end of the class, you'll be ready for pickup games and leagues! Feel free to take this session multiple times, but you should be able to graduate to our Rec-level pickup games after one session. We will have the court set up and equipment available so all you need to do is show up ready to learn and play. Feel free to bring your own pickleball paddle if you have one. Big City Pickle - Fulton Market is located at 170 N Green St Chicago, IL 60607. Limited street parking available. Pricing $18 per person First time players will see the option to purchase two games for $25. This is a great way to learn to play and then apply your new skills in one of our pickup games.Paddle Rental included for Learn to Play. What to Expect:Show up 10 minutes early and check in with the host on the court. The session will begin at the time listed for this event. Please be ready to start on time and stay until the end. In the highly unlikely chance we need to cancel, an email notification will be sent at least 2 hours in advance in order to give people enough notice. Credits will be issued if we cancel the event.  Do Your Part! Help us keep an accurate guest count!If you sign up, we're counting on you to be there. If you need to cancel, please do so 2 or more hours in advance. You'll automatically receive a credit for the next time you play in a session of the same price with us. However, if you cancel less than 2 hours before game time, you will forfeit your payment because you're leaving the host and the other players in quite a pickle (ha!). Requirement to play:This is an adult group and player must be 18 or older. Males and females are welcome to play. There is no required gender ratio.
