Class Overview

Join this Pickleball Doubles pickup game designed specifically for recreational-level (3.0) players. Nestled in the popular neighborhood of Fulton Market near West Loop, you'll love these newly-paved pickleball courts. Our friendly Grab A Game host will pair players into teams to create well-balanced games.   We offer multiple levels for our pickleball doubles pickup games: New to pickleball? Start with our Learn To Play Pickleball Session to get a handle of the rules and how to keep score. Recreational 3.0 - Players at this level know the fundamentals of pickleball and the rules. Intermediate 3.5 - Players at this level understand the game better and apply strategies. Competitive 4.0+ - This is our highest level of pickup play and it is reserved for players looking for competitive play. Players at this level often have good verbal and non-verbal communication and good court positioning. They're often able to hit swinging volleys and block hard volleys. This is a doubles game with a max capacity of 4 players per court, so everyone gets to play the whole time. We may utilize multiple courts for this game. When we have more than two teams, teams will rotate for a variety of competition. The courts will be set up and balls and paddles available to use. You are welcome to bring your own paddle if you have one. Big City Pickle - Fulton Market is located at 170 N Green St Chicago, IL 60607. Limited street parking available. Pricing $15 per person $65 5-Pack of Sessions $35 Weekly Pass (good for up to 5 games in 7 days) First time players with Grab A Game will see the option to purchase 2 games for $25. Booking for a PartnerWe prefer each player registers and pays for themselves, but if you want to sign up your partner, you can do so through the "Book A Game" option at the top of grabagame.com. The option to book for someone else is not available on the Grab A Game app. What to Expect:Show up 10 minutes early and check in with the host on the court. The game will begin at the time listed for this event. Please be ready to start on time and stay until the end. If we need to cancel due to weather or low registration, an email notification will be sent at least 2 hours in advance in order to give people enough notice. Credits will be issued if we cancel the event. Do Your Part! Help us keep an accurate guest count!If you sign up, we're counting on you to be there. If you need to cancel, please do so 2 or more hours in advance through the Grab A Game app or your grabagame.com account. You'll automatically receive a credit for the next time you play in a game of the same price with us. However, if you cancel less than 2 hours before game time, you will forfeit your payment because you're leaving the host and the other players in quite a pickle (ha!). Requirement to play:This is an adult group and player must be 18 or older. Males and females are welcome to play. There is no required gender ratio.
