Class Overview

Circuit is a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) class that was the original Fitness class at Chicago Strength. HIIT is an exercise strategy alternating short periods of intense anaerobic exercise with less-intense recovery periods. HIIT workouts provide improved athletic capacity and condition, as well as improved glucose metabolism. Circuit workouts alternate strength movements (using dumbbells, kettlebells, body weight, and TRX) with cardio movements (such as running, rowing, and spinning) to allow athletes to constantly operate with high intensity for the entire class.

STUDIO OVERVIEW

Chicago Strength has been on the forefront of both CrossFit and HIIT-style training for the past decade plus. Classes take place in a 7,000-square-foot studio and involve strength training including barbells, dumbbells, and kettlebells, with conditioning work including air runners, assault bikes, rowers, ski-ergs, and sleds. Be ready to work!
