Class Overview

This beginner class starts with a spoken introduction to the Lagree Method, the Megaformer and The Studio (MDR), followed by a light instructional workout featuring between 10-15 essential exercises. INTRO TO (MDR) guides you through the essential Lagree moves while teaching you how to maximize your experience at the studio. This is an instructional class (as opposed to a full class) that gets participants acquainted and comfortable with the workout. We recommend you take this class once to best set yourself up for success. After taking INTRO TO (MDR), clients can take (MDR) ESSENTIALS or (MDR) TOTAL BODY LITE or (MDR) TOTAL BODY. EXPERIENCED STUDENTS SHOULD NOT TAKE THIS CLASS

Know before you go

  • New students must arrive at least 10 minutes prior to class start for orientation. If you arrive less than 10 minutes early, we reserve the right to reschedule you for another time/date. This applies to new guests who have done this method at another studio.
  • If you do not arrive within 5 minutes of class start, your space may be given to someone who is waiting. 
  • For safety and sanitary reasons, we REQUIRE EVERYONE to wear non-slip, tread socks (available for purchase). No shoes are needed.
  • We have a water dispenser. If you bring your own bottle, no glass bottles.

STUDIO OVERVIEW

The Studio (MDR)™ brings the intensity of fitness guru Sebastien Lagree's Pilates-inspired workout to Marina Del Rey, Culver City and Playa Vista. The Lagree Fitness workout is a total-body program that melds together elements of Pilates, cardio training and weight-bearing activity to create a revolutionary, one-of-a-kind exercise program.  

 

The workout is done on state-of-the-art Megaformers, which provide constant resistance and infinitely more exercise options than a traditional reformer. The machine allows the body to shift quickly and smoothly from one exercise to another while increasing the heart rate and getting the blood pumping. The Megaformer attacks each and every muscle in a concentrated and focused manner to sculpt strong, powerful and lean bodies in a safe and measured way.
