Class Overview

A 50 minute total Reformer class utilizing heavy spring resistance to strengthen your core, increase your flexibility, and improve your posture using the classical Pilates method. Some classes may include the use of small props, and in Level II and above, Reformer additions like the jump board and split board. This class is suited to clients with previous Pilates experience - you’re familiar with Pilates lingo and the basics, and are ready to learn intermediate exercises and variations. This class focuses more heavily on flow of movement, and moves at a slightly faster pace to keep up the intensity. Best for clients who are injury-free or know basic modifications, and prenatal clients with previous Pilates experience (through the second trimester only). *We recommend completing 20 classes before moving up to the next level.

  • Per new studio policies, all classes at Uptown Pilates' Upper East Side and Upper West Side locations require 2 private sessions taken at Uptown Pilates in order to reserve. If you have completed this requirement, please email info@fitreserve.com.
  • Socks must be worn in the studio at all times
