Class Overview

Yin Yoga is a slow, soothing, and meditative style of Yoga. Unlike Yang (Active) Yoga, Yin Yoga targets the deep connective tissues, bones, joints, fascia, and ligaments in the body. It is slower, and more meditative, giving you space to turn inward. In this class, we hold mostly passive poses for longer than other types of yoga, about 3 to 6 minutes. You can relax with Tibetan Singing Bowls played during the class.

Know before you go

  • Please arrive early for your first class to sign waiver (no late-comers permitted; door will be locked 5 minutes after class start and no late-comers will be permitted and no refunds)
  • Located near the E/M/6 Lex/53rd St Stop, and near the R/W 59th/Lex train stops. The main street door is unlocked during business hours, students must buzz #700 after 5pm. The buzzer does not make a sound when unlocked, must pull the door.
