Class Overview

We love our newbies! This introductory class is designed to give you the foundations and confidence you need to attend our other group classes without feeling completely like the new kid on the block. We will show you how to get on and off the machine safely. We will teach you how to use the machine, how to get your feet into the straps, and how to move the carriage using your body through various exercises. Essentially, you’ll be well on your way to feeling confident! Keep in mind that this class is simply a taster, it is designed to provide you with knowledge about the machine and how to use it best for your body as well as to give you the opportunity to try a small variety of exercises that represent some of the different exercises that you would expect in a group class. Once you have completed this class, you are welcome to come along to any of our Reformer classes which will allow you to become more competent on the Reformer by constantly learning new movements and continuing to challenge your body.

Know before you go

  • Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the beginning of class so that we can get you oriented with the equipment and get you acquainted with where everything is
  • Reformer for Newbies class is there for you to ensure you are comfortable on the machine
  • Wear comfy clothes that you can move in and feel free to take class barefoot, with grippy socks, or with regular socks
  • If you're taking a HIIT class please bring tennis shoes
