Class Overview

“METABOLIC CONDITIONING” (MetCon) CAN HAVE MANY DIFFERENT MEANINGS, BUT HERE AT MOMENTUM FITNESS WE SEE IT AS A FUN, REWARDING AND RESULTS-DRIVEN WORKOUT. So what might you be doing? We use the word might because MetCon workouts will change frequently – our bodies adapt and become accustomed to certain exercises so we must change the stimuli and keep them guessing. You’ll be using structural and compound exercises including pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, jumping, running, throwing, swinging and, above all, having fun. You will condition your body’s energy systems to build functional strength, endurance and mobility. We combine various training styles from strength, power and bodyweight training to interval, agility, and endurance training using an array of tools that include kettlebells, clubbells, sandbags, ViPRs, sleds, gymnastics rings and battle ropes. Metabolic conditioning will be intense, fast, fun and appeal to anyone who likes to train hard and sweat. Metabolic conditioning is good old fashioned hard work – you’ll be gasping for breath and feeling the burn but you’ll also be feeling great and leaving on a high – this is as good as guaranteed.   Basic Kettlebell knowledge is needed for this class; if you are not comfortable with Kettlebell training then we recommend that you take our Kettlebells 101 class before trying this class.
