Nedra_Headshot_1About Nedra: With nearly a decade in the industry, Nedra has refined her fitness technique to help her clients find balance in both their physique and their daily life. The success of her routines can be attributed to manipulating the body using movements from a variety of disciplines—strength training, kickboxing, plyometrics, Pilates, kettlebells, yoga, TRX and more. She has designed unique classes utilizing this method, including Next Level TRX and Next Level Kickboxing. This distinctive technique makes her a well-rounded fitness instructor, one who is always looking for ways to "spice up" any workout. Overall, she prides herself on making every exercise effective, challenging and even fun!

Nedra is certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), with specialty certifications in Kettlebell Athletics, Prenatal/Postpartum, Group Fitness TRX and Group Fitness Training (ACE).

What is the RF Method and what makes it so effective? The RF Method is about finding balance. To us balance means to find the right formula that fits each indvidual's need. No matter what your background is or what your current goals are, in order to achieve them and stay successful you must find this balance in your fitness routine.  

What is Remorca Fitness' philosophy and what makes it unique from other gyms and studios? Our Philosophy and how we carry it out is down to a science. As mentioned before, Balance is our method and our philosophy is finding it. We offer private one-on-one training with an RF professional that is closely monitored by Polar Technology to ensure the client is performing in the correct fitness zone, safely and effectively.

When clients aren't private training, we encourage them to partake in other variables of fitness to keep them active and motivated. This is where The Studio by RF comes in. Our team of highly skilled instructors have designed numerous classes focused on strength, cardio and movement. At the Studio, clients experience small, intimate, form-focused classes in the genre of their choice, while wearing a Polar heart rate monitor. These classes are an "experience" because we take the extra step to ensure everyone has the best experience every time and attains their goal through proper cuing and use of the Polar System which displays their progress throughout each class.

What advice do you have for first-timers to Remorca? Take advantage of the opportunity to absorb as much knowledge as possible from us! The Remorca Team is a special group of people who absolutely love what they do and have so much knowledge to share with each client. From the moment you walk through the door, we are there to assist in choosing a class and finding the right mix of classes for you. We strive in keeping each team member highly educated in the human anatomy and physiology, so our instructors truly know how to push you safely and why!

You use heart rate monitors in your classes.  Why is it so important for individuals to track their heart rate while working out? Knowledge is power and one way to know if your fitness routine is working is to see how your heart rate responds to different stimuli. For example, many of our clients partake in running or spinning on their off days. When you hook a heart rate monitor up to this individual, it should reflect that their cardiovascular levels are top notch. So when our instructors are teaching class, they can cue this person properly to ensure they get a good workout. Or on the opposite end of the spectrum, when working with people who are pregnant or with high blood pressure we are able to deliver a safe workout keeping them below the max heart rate. Safety and effectiveness.

Nutrition is a big component of your program.  What is the Remorca Fitness philosophy on nutrition? No matter how much you think you know about your nutrition, there is always so much more to learn. Our nutrition team consists of a scientist and a nutritionist, so we are always in the know. We strive to keep our clients up to date with all of the information they need to be successful!
