Get Active. When you are out of town, get in small amounts of exercise during the day. If you don't have time for a full hour, try 30 minutes of walking or another form of exercise you enjoy. Then, if you have time later, try to get in another 30 minutes.

Treat Yourself. During holiday parties or meals, pick one awesome treat that is seasonal (only during holidays) and definitely eat that (and enjoy!).

Watch Your Alcohol. Be aware of your alcohol intake, especially heavy sugary drinks like eggnog. Remember to drink lots of water if you are drinking alcohol as it will dehydrate you.

Get Your Rest. Get plenty of sleep, as this will help cortisol levels, keep anxiety down, and keep to motivated to work out.

Pamper Yourself. Be sure to make time for YOU. I make time to workout, get a massage and get my nails done even with my busy schedule because self care is so important during the holiday season. Doing these things keeps me mentally and physically in shape for my clients and students because I feel good, which keeps me motivated and more productive.
