Real Ryder Revolution

About Kate: Born and raised in the Chicago area, Kate is a star instructor at Real Ryder Revolution.  Kate's love for indoor cycling began in 2006  after a three year hiatus from competitive swimming. Her college recreational center introduced her to the world of indoor cycling and after one class, Kate knew that it would be a long term addiction. Kate returned back to Chicago in 2009 and became a certified instructor through Mad Dogg Athletics.

Real Ryder bikesWhat makes Real Ryder Revolution (R3) unique from other indoor cycling studios? The RealRyder® bikes truly engage every muscle in the body. Not only will they provide a great cardio workout, but your upper body and core will also be a point of focus. These bikes pivot on the frame to simulate a true road ride, and take indoor cycling to the next level.

Kate's advice for first-timers: Trust the bike, listen to your body and focus on getting your heart rate up. The RealRyder® bike takes a few sessions to get used to, so for the first time just have fun and break a killer sweat!

KateKate's favorite things to do in Chicago outside of attending R3’s classes? Go for an open water swim off of Ohio Street Beach. The water is (usually) warm, crystal clear, and what is better than a view of skyscrapers?! When not working out you can find me shopping with girlfriends on Michigan Ave and trying new restaurants.

Did you know? Kate is training for her second half ironman distance triathlon in July in Michigan. Kate also has a penchant for high heels, gelato, and Lady Gaga.

Ready for a Ryde? Real Ryder Revolution has locations in Chicago, as well as Birmingham, Ann Arbor, and West Bloomfield in Michigan.
