FitReserve Studio Spotlight: Drive495
Regarded as New York City’s premier training and golf performance club, Drive495 was first developed by brothers Don and Joe Saladino to enable everyday golfers access to the same training techniques that the pros have year-round. Now, the studio also has core-focused group fitness classes for all types of fitness enthusiasts – even if the most intense golf you’ve ever done included a putter and a windmill! Let the healthy competition and support of a group class drive you while you work your whole body at Drive495. Fore!
Classes Offered: Team Metabolic Training, Team Kettlebell, Clubbell Yoga
Why We Love It: This super-clean facility has state-of-the-art equipment for golfers working on their swing, and a variety of classes for students working on their core, flexibility and cardio. Even New York’s A-list has utilized this studio to get in shape: Picnic’s Sebastian Stan frequented Drive495 to prepare for his muscle-bound role, and Blake Lively featured the swanky studio on her lifestyle site, Preserve.
Why It's So Effective: Variety is the spice of life…and the key to avoiding fitness plateaus. Drive495 offers a variety of classes from yoga to kettlebell to keep clients at their peak fitness levels.
Know Before You Go: Drive495 has a strict “tee time:” please arrive ten minutes early to all classes as latecomers will not be admitted. If you are attending Clubbell Yoga, bring your own yoga mat.
Don't Miss: Don’t miss out on Drive495’s advanced golf simulators, relaxing steam rooms and educational seminars, where experts speak on nutrition, fitness, and form. To rehydrate post-workout, there's a yummy juice bar and even a secret bar and lounge hidden upstairs.
Added Bonus: Train like a celebrity! Studio co-owner Don Saladino's star-studded clientele includes Hugh Grant, Hugh Jackman, Scarlett Johansson, Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Ryan Gosling, Michael J. Fox, Maggie Grace, Liev Schreiber plus a range of world-class PGA, NHL, NBA, NFL and MLB athletes.
