FitReserve Studio Spotlight: EveryBodyFights Boston

05.15.2016

Walking into EveryBodyFights Boston’s 15,000 square foot modern facility is equal parts impressive and overwhelming…in a good way! There are so many diverse classes to choose from, and at peak hours many of them are happening at once in the fitness rooms that surround the center’s two boxing rings. Fret not, though, because the friendly staff will point you in the right direction and even help you wrap your hands if you are new and need a hand.

Created by George Foreman III – son of a certain boxer and grill master – this fitness program will kick your butt into shape with a variety of high intensity classes. If you want to treat yourself after your hard work, you can enjoy the luxury amenities offered in this new space.

Neighborhood: South Boston

Classes Offered: EverybodyFights offers a total of 150 classes. Experience BOXFIIT™ Bag, Train, Body and Road for the ultimate fighter’s workout where you’ll get a combination of boxing, strength, endurance, conditioning, core, and flexibility training. They also offer self-defense classes, boxing technique classes, and a fully functioning gym for your own workouts.

Why We Love It: This is not your typical boxing gym! Between a variety of classes that include non-traditional ringside elements as Pilates, barre, and yoga, and the luxury amenities of a sauna, juice bar, physical therapy room, toiletry-stocked locker room, and steam room, a workout at EveryBodyFights feels like a VIP experience.

Why It's So Effective: Shortly into an EverybodyFights class, you’ll be sweating and your muscles will be shaking. These FIIT (fight-interval-intensity-training)-style classes put your strength, endurance, balance, and core to the test. Depending on the class, cardio blasts can come from running, cycling, rowing, or sparring, and intense strength work can come from the bag, Pilates training, yoga, weights, or barre elements.

Know Before You Go: Give yourself 15 minutes before each class to get ring ready by wrapping your hands, getting your gloves, and stretching. If you don't know how to wrap your hands or throw a punch, they have instructors at the ready to walk you through it. Gloves and wraps are both provided, and are also available for purchase in addition to branded gear and apparel.

Don't Miss: If you’ve always wanted to unleash your Million Dollar Baby, sign up for Fight Club. This hour-long class teaches you the essentials of sparring, and you can even build up to participating in bi-annual fight nights. Just remember your sparring gloves, headgear, and mouthpiece to be ring-ready for Fight Club!

Added Bonus: After boxing your butt off, have a relaxing sip at the juice and smoothie bar, get a massage or physical therapy in the POST room, or just sweat it out in the sauna or steam room.
